Crystal Care

Although, crystals are formed in the harshest conditions, like us all, they do need some TLC to prolong its shine & durability. Here is a list of dos and don’ts when it comes to cleaning your candles after you are done with the candles.

Crystals that you should NOT cleanse with WATER:

• Calcite, Labradorite, Halite. Lepidolite, Celestite, Fluorite, Desert Rose & Selenite – these crystals May / Will dissolve
• Turquoise – It will fade and lose it lustre.
• Hematite – It can rust.
• Mica – It can flake apart.
• Pyrite – Produces sulfuric acid when in contact with water.
• Malachite – It can break apart in Hot Water and it is toxic.
• Obsidian – they can break from extreme water temperature.

Crystals to keep AWAY from SUNLIGHT:

• Amethyst, Citrine, Carnelian, Agate, Howlite, Aventurine, Celestite, Sapphire, Fluorite, Rose Quartz, Smokey Quartz & Opal – They will fade and lose it lustre,  and/or become brittle.

Clean your crystals (those listed above) with warm water and paper towel. Not only it'll ensure the longevity of your candles, you'll be polishing it, protecting it from finger imprints.
